Can I recover deleted messages from Telegram's servers

Telegram's Stance on Deleted Messages

Telegram states that when you delete messages on your device, they are also permanently deleted from Telegram's servers[1]. The company's privacy policy clearly states:

"When you delete messages on your device, they are also deleted from our servers."

Exceptions

There are a couple exceptions where Telegram may be able to assist with recovering deleted messages:

1. If you contact Telegram support within a short time after deletion, they may be able to retrieve some data from their servers, but this is not guaranteed[1].

2. If the messages were part of a channel or group, and you are an admin, you can view a log of deleted messages in the group info[1].

Alternative Recovery Methods

While Telegram's servers don't retain deleted messages, there are some other methods that may help recover deleted Telegram chats:

- Use Telegram's built-in "Undo" feature to restore messages deleted within the last 5 seconds[1][2]
