The recommended way of using Paid Membership & Multiprofile bundle
- Do not create profile types in JomSocial User Categories. Just create your subscription plans. Actually, in integrated mode each plan work also as a profile type and the multiprofile extension works in background.
- Set working mode of plug jomsomu to "Integrated with SimSu" in backend.
- Create subscription plans. You will see a dropdown in JomSocial configuration and Jomsocial Custom Profiles that will show your subscription plans. You can set different configuration options and profile fields depending on your subscription plan.
Registration:
- Allow your users to register normally. Like if paid membership or multi profile extensions do not exist on your site.
- Set "Force Subscription" in Paid Membership Configuration to YES.
- Your users will register but after they login, they will be redirected to your subscription plans page where they must select a subscription. They will not be able to use your site until they select a subscription. You can have various subscription plans, free and/or paid.
Optional:
- You can set 'Allow visitors to buy? " to YES in Paid Membership Manager configuration and create a menu item pointing to SimSu >> plans layout.
- Here your visitors can subscribe to a plan without the need of registration or login.
- On subscription their account will be created automatically and login details will be emailed to them. They can fill their profile details after login.
- Their profile will show the fields you have defined in JomSocial Custom Fields according to the plan they have subscribed.
