After Installing Multi Vendor Virtuemart

After installation of our multi store plugins you need to answer following questions:

Question 1)
How do you want to organize vendor stores? You may have sub-stores/vendor stores on sub-domains, on separate (add-on) domains and as sub folders. What configuration do you like?

Main Site:        YourMainSite.com

Option 1: (As sub domain)
substore1.YourMainSite.com
substore2.YourMainSite.com

What to do: If you select option 1, you need to create sub domains for your sub stores or vendor stores. These sub domains must point to your main website. Means, if you browse to substore1.YourMainSite.com, it must show the same content as you see on www.YourMainSite.com while the browse stays at substore1.YourMainSite.com. If you host allows you may also use the wildcard sub domain feature. You may create just one sub domain as

*.YourMainSite.com and point it to your main website. After that you will not need to create sub domain for each vendor.

Option 2: (On Separate domain)
www.any-other-domain.com
www.just-another-domain.com

What to do: If you select option 2, you need to point your external domains to your main website. Means, if you browse www.any-other-domain.com, it must show the same content as you see on www.YourMainSite.com while the browse stays at www.any-other-domain.com.

Option 3:  (As sub folder)
YourMainSite.com/store01
YourMainSite.com/store02
etc.

What to do: This option is the easiest to configure. Just do the following:

- Go in Joomla back end, plugins manger
- Edit multi store plugin
- You see an option 'Vendor sites in Sub folders'. Set this to YES.

This options requires that sysmlinks function of php is enabled on your server. However, this is no problem because this is enabled by default on most hosting companies. If this option does not work for you, you may ask your hosting company about sysmlinks features.

Question 2) Do you want to allow vendors to register from front end? See Vendor Registration at front end.

Question 3) Do you want to charge a subscription fee for vendor registration? See Installation of Subscription Component.

Question 4)  First Choice: Main site owner receive all payments and then manually distribute to vendors?
If yes, do this:

- Go in MSCC. Then go to "Vendor/Sub Store Rights & Configuration". Select 'Site wide' option from drop down and set "Allow Payment Configuration" to NO.

Second Choice: Vendors will receive direct payments for their orders?

do this:
- Go in MSCC. Then go to "Vendor/Sub Store Rights & Configuration". Select 'Site wide' option from drop down and set "Allow Payment Configuration" to YES.
